AWTC Celebrates Association Women

As we near the end of the first quarter of 2023, AWTC is gearing up for its annual awards ceremony where they recognize women in associations making a difference with technology.

AWTC, Association Women Technology Champions, is a 501c3 organization that “exists to educate and empower women in the association space to strategically incorporate technology in their work. We create a safe space where there are no wrong questions and everyone is committed to sharing their knowledge to help one another.” (quote from their website awtc.tech).

Women in association leadership positions has long been a topic of conversation; why aren’t there more women in the C-Suite? How can we make that happen? But these questions are important when it comes to technology too. For too long, technology has been “a man’s game,” despite the fact that women are just as smart (dare I say smarter?) than their male tech counterparts, and are out there using technology in innovative ways every day.

Some of us are solopreneurs or leading our small businesses using cutting edge technology. Others are leading nonprofit organizations through always shifting times. What we all have in common is connecting people with each other and with the tools they need to succeed.

The award winners represent Chief Staff Executives, consultants, and women all across the association community that use technology to mentor, coach, support, and lead their colleagues. Contributing to the elevation of our profession is a common thread among the award winners no matter their role.

In the end, technology is a tool and like any tool it’s how it is used and who wields that tool that makes the difference.

Join the AWTC leadership, the award winners, and their supporters and friends as we honor the 2022 Award Winners on Tuesday, March 28. Registration is open for all and we encourage you to join the virtual festivities (wear something sparkly and have a bubbly drink at hand for a toast!).

No fee for registration – just bring your confetti and your applause. Here’s how to register (and find the recipe for the signature cocktail of this year’s event – the Pink Grapefruit Mojito): Register now at https://awards.awtc.tech/
